Aiming at the problems of high shape coefficient, poor thermal insulation performance and high energy consumption of heating systems in rural buildings in arid and cold areas of Northwest China, adopts some measures including strengthening the building envelope insulation, and adopting the passive solar house system combining with heat storage wall and additional sunlight rooms, the active heating system combining with solar collector, biomass furnace and geothermal coil, the underfloor thermal insulation and heat storage system, as well as the energy saving Kang and other energy hybrid systems. The results show that the basic indoor temperature reaches over 14 , and the total consumption amount of coal and straw during a heating season is about 3.75 t for a rural residence of 121.2 m2.
